Preeclampsia is a specific disease in pregnancy, that is, the occurrence of an increase in blood pressure of at least 140 mmHg (systolic) or 90 mmHg (diastolic). It is characterized by a decrease in organ function during pregnancy after 20 weeks of gestation. Preeclampsia not only affects during pregnancy but can also arise after delivery due to organ damage, such as cardiometabolic disease and other complications. In the late stages of preeclampsia, it can cause pregnant women to experience convulsions (eclampsia) to death. Before preeclampsia occurs in pregnant women, early prevention efforts are needed, especially in pregnant women who have a history of hypertension. One of the efforts that can be done is to find out the factors that influence the incidence of preeclampsia. This study aims to determine factors that influence the incidence of preeclampsia in pregnant women at the hospital (RSIA Sitti Khadijah 1 Makassar). Logistic regression analysis using the Bayesian method was implemented. Data on pregnant women with preeclampsia at RSIA Sitti Khadijah 1 Makassar in 2020 were used. Several factors are thought to influence the incidence of preeclampsia, namely maternal age during pregnancy, parity, history of maternal congenital disease, maternal body mass index (BMI) before pregnancy, mother's employment status, and mother's last education. The results showed that the factor that significantly influences the incidence of preeclampsia at RSIA Sitti Khadijah 1 Makassar is Body Mass Index (BMI). © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc..
