Abstract

The effects of COVID- 19 on educational institutions, leadership, technology in the classroom, virtual reality, and collaborative learning are just a few of the topics covered in this extensive review of recent studies. It explores the pros and cons of virtual teams in educational contexts, focusing on knowledge work in virtual environments and how they could improve interdisciplinary partnerships. Setting clear goals, communicating effectively, and managing cultural differences are critical tactics outlined in the article for successful virtual collaboration. Additionally, it delves into how virtual collaboration tools might enhance teamwork and student engagement, as well as the changing function of avatars in educational environments. The paper highlights the potential of virtual reality, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and gamification to revolutionize collaborative learning, build immersive environments, and enhance learning outcomes in the next quarter of a century.
