Lightweight concrete technology develops along with construction needs. Styrofoam is an alternative ingredient that can be used in a mixture of concrete to produce lightweight concrete. Experimental research to see the performance of lightweight concrete with the addition of styrofoam. This study uses two types of samples, namely concrete cylinders and beams. The compressive strength and deflection tests were carried out on four types of concrete with various styrofoam mixtures. The results showed that the styro-con performed equivalent to regular concrete based on deflection and strength. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
