Currently, innovative teaching models and methods and technology are increasingly advanced. This gives pupils a top-notch learning experience that necessitates using a range of senses to help them get ready for challenges in the future. In order to accomplish this, science education is implemented with an emphasis on challenge-based learning, flexibility in the scheduling and location of the learning process, motivating educators, and unforgettable student experiences. This research explores the influence of using an action camera in experimental-based physics learning using a hybrid method on the involvement and learning process of students aspiring to be science teachers. Using a mixed methods approach, this study examines both quantitative and qualitative data from the community under study. This research was divided into two stages. The first stage of this research involved a trial with 1 class of students who used an action camera to carry out hybrid experiment-based learning on new renewable energy materials. In the second stage, students answer questions regarding the topic discussed. The results demonstrate that the employment of action camera technology in hybrid, experimental-based learning has a beneficial impact on student engagement and the learning process. © 2024 IEEE.
