This research aims to explore the role of students as the agents of sustainability using a green economy approach and to measure their awareness of environmental and green economy issues, as well as to analyze their attitudes toward sustainable practices. This research will encourage educational institutions, governments, or related organizations to adopt sustainable practices in their curricula, operations, or public policies. The research approach is a quantitative one, using a survey method to measure the students' perceptions of, and contributions to, the promotion of sustainable living. A survey method was employed to collect data from numerous students to understand their knowledge, attitudes, and behavior regarding the green economy and sustainability. Questionnaires with close-ended questions and Likert scales were used. Our sample of 138 students in Indonesia was collected using random or stratified random sampling techniques to ensure representativeness. The research provides a picture of how students can act as catalysts for realizing sustainable living through a green economy approach. © 2026 GMP Press and Printing.
