Abstract

As artificial intelligence (AI) rapidly transforms educational spaces, this chapter comprehensively explores ethical considerations surrounding its use in teaching, learning, and school administration. Navigating Ethical AI brings together frameworks, case studies, and pedagogical practices to address how AI systems may reinforce bias, marginalize learners, or erode trust when designed or deployed without sufficient care. The chapters examine fairness metrics, human-in-the-loop strategies, regulatory approaches, and classroom-level interventions. Central to the book is a call for inclusive co-creation between students, educators, developers, and policymakers to ensure AI serves as a tool for justice rather than control. By combining technical insight with ethical reflection, this volume lays the foundation for a more transparent, equitable, and human-centered AI future in education. © 2026 by IGI Global Scientific Publishing.
