Abstract

This research aims at finding out the relationship among environmental knowledge, ecosystem knowledge, pollution knowledge, attitudes, and motivations of an educated housewife graduated from senior high school, toward Waste Management environmentally sound in Makassar. This research was survey research using the quantitative method located in Makassar. Sampling method was a multistage random sampling on sub districts in Makassar. Data collection was direct observation methods. The researchers gave questionnaires, interview sheets, test knowledge, attitudes, and scale testing assumptions as requirements analysis. The testing consists of normality testing, homogeneity testing, multicollinearity testing and linearity testing. The results of this research show that there is a significant relationship between knowledge (consisting of environment, ecosystems, pollution, attitude, and motivation) and participation of housewives in environmentally sound Waste Management in Makassar.
