Abstract

This chapter is concerned with the role of AI tools in facilitating text generation, text interpretation, and assessment and how these tools are content creation such as poems, stories, and critical and creative thinking. AI aids in making complex tasks of analysis such as the identification of themes and stylistic analysis easier thereby enhancing reasoning and interpretation. In the case of teachers, the role of AIs in assessment and feedback makes that process more effective aiding to improve learning experiences. Still, certain limitations such as ethical issues concerning AI and overreliance on AI are problems that need to be addressed with some plans to ensure sensible usage of AI. The chapter reiterates the versatility of AI tools and explains how they can, when used responsibly, be a significant shift to the way English languages can be taught. ©2026, IGI Global Scientific Publishing.
