Abstract

This developmental research aims to create a product-valid and practical Inquiry-Problem Solving Strategy (SIPS) developed through the ADDIE model's design (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). The data source for the validity test involved two learning experts. The instrument used was an expert validation sheet for the SIPS design, which contains seven assessment components, namely: 1) rationale, 2) supporting theory, 3) syntax, 4) principle of reaction, 5) support systems, 6) social systems, and 7) instructions for implementing the SIPS strategy. Empirical data sources were obtained from user's responses to SIPS and its devices, namely lecturers and students. The result is that the SIPS learning design declared feasible regarding its validity and practical aspects. All seven components in the SIPS design have validity with a very high category. The consistency of assessment between two raters is 93.3%, which shows a very high consistency. Students' perceptions of the device and the implementation of SIPS are excellent, with 97% responding positively. 100% of lecturers responded positively to implementing SIPS in Advanced Basic Chemistry lectures, which indicated that the SIPS design was practically implemented. © 2025 Author(s).
