This chapter examines the evolution of language acquisition, transitioning from conventional grammar-translation techniques to the incorporation of advanced technology like Artificial Intelligence (AI). It underscores the crucial function of AIdriven tools-such as chatbots, virtual tutors, and customized learning platforms-in improving engagement, accessibility, and individualized education. The paper also examines problems such as technological obstacles, ethical implications, and AI’s constraints in comprehending cultural context and complexity. Additionally, emerging technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) are analyzed for their capacity to foster immersive educational settings. This research underscores the necessity for equitable implementation and the ongoing significance of educators in cultivating empathy and critical thinking. By appropriately adopting these developments, language acquisition can transcend cultural barriers and equip learners for a globally networked environment. © 2026 by IGI Global Scientific Publishing.
