Abstract

Ideal science learning should encourage students to build their understanding through various in-depth nature exploration experiences and present technology-based science learning to provide experiences in exploring natural knowledge. This development research aims to develop Padlet-based science worksheets by applying constructivist learning principles. This study uses the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires for validation and practicality tests. Data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The needs analysis results show that teachers and students need interactive science worksheets with videos, images, quizzes, and experimental activities. After the development process, Padlet-based science worksheets with constructivist learning characteristics facilitate active learning, student-centered gradual strategy support, social interaction, authentic learning experiences, reflection and metacognition, and cognitive development. The worksheet provides flexibility for teachers and students, as it can be accessed anytime through gadgets. The validity test results by media and material experts showed a very feasible category. Likewise, the results of the practicality test by teachers and students showed a very practical category. Thus, this Padlet platform-based electronic worksheet applies constructivist learning principles and is feasible and practical for science learning in elementary school. © 2025 IEEE.
