Abstract

This chapter examines the essential incorporation of sustainability into PhD programs, highlighting the necessity for a transformative change in research competencies for the 21st century. As global challenges like climate change and resource depletion escalate, doctorate programs must adapt to prepare future scholars with the requi¬site abilities to tackle these difficulties. The chapter delineates novel instructional methodologies and curricular reform initiatives that promote multidisciplinary col¬laboration, critical analysis, and ethical considerations in research. By integrating sustainability ideas into doctoral education, universities may develop a new cohort of academics who are proficient in their disciplines and dedicated to advancing sus¬tainable practices.
